Volkswagen Module Cloning, Programming & Repair Services
Velectronix provides professional mail-in Volkswagen ECU cloning, BCM and CCM cloning, instrument cluster services, KESSY programming, immobilizer delete (IMMO OFF), and supported module repair. We help repair shops and vehicle owners service compatible electronic control modules without shipping the entire vehicle.
Depending on the module, our services include transferring vehicle-specific data from an original unit into a compatible customer-supplied replacement, recovering readable data, or modifying supported ECU software. Compatibility depends on the exact module part number, hardware, software and condition.
Volkswagen Module Services
Choose a service category below to find the appropriate Volkswagen module cloning, programming or repair listing.
Volkswagen ECU / ECM Cloning
ECU cloning for supported Bosch and Continental engine computers, including MED17, ME17, SIMOS, ME7 and selected diesel ECU families.
Volkswagen BCM / CCM Cloning
Body and Comfort Control Module data transfer for supported Volkswagen BCM, J519, PQ25, PQ35 and central convenience applications. Compatibility depends on the exact module.
Volkswagen Instrument Cluster Services
Selected VW instrument cluster data transfer and programming services. Availability depends on cluster hardware, part number and immobilizer generation.
Volkswagen KESSY Module Services
Keyless access and start authorization module cloning for supported Volkswagen KESSY applications and compatible donor units.
Volkswagen Immobilizer Delete / IMMO OFF
Immobilizer-off programming for supported VW ECUs. On applicable older systems, an immobilizer fault may cause the engine to start and stall.
Supported Volkswagen Electronic Modules
We work with selected Volkswagen engine management, body electronics and immobilizer-related modules. Support varies by hardware and part number.
- ECU / ECM: Selected Bosch MED17, ME17, ME7, EDC15 and Continental SIMOS families, plus other supported VW applications.
- BCM / CCM / J519: Selected PQ25 and PQ35 Body Control Modules and supported central convenience or Comfort Control Modules. The names are sometimes used interchangeably, but actual module functions and compatibility vary by vehicle.
- Instrument Clusters: Selected cluster programming or cloning applications; immobilizer and mileage-related work is subject to applicable requirements.
- KESSY: Selected keyless access and start authorization modules where a specific service is listed.
Most cloning services require the original module and a compatible customer-supplied donor. Many applications require matching part numbers. Always review the individual product listing before shipping.
Volkswagen ECU Cloning vs. Immobilizer Delete
ECU cloning transfers the required vehicle-specific information from the original engine computer into a compatible replacement, generally retaining the existing immobilizer configuration when the necessary data is recoverable.
Immobilizer delete (IMMO OFF) modifies supported ECU software to disable immobilizer authorization. On certain older VW vehicles, an immobilizer issue can cause a start-then-stall condition. IMMO OFF does not fix no-crank conditions, missing ECU power, wiring faults, or unrelated engine problems.
These are different services. The appropriate option depends on the ECU family, original module condition, and the vehicle's symptoms.
How Our Volkswagen Mail-In Services Work
- Identify the module: Check the Volkswagen and manufacturer part numbers on its label and select the matching service.
- Ship the required parts: For most cloning jobs, send both the original and compatible replacement module. Other services may require only the original.
- Programming and return: Most supported jobs are completed within 1–2 business days after receiving the required modules; shipping transit is additional.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply the replacement Volkswagen module?
No. For cloning services, the customer normally supplies both the original module and a compatible donor. Check each listing for exact requirements.
Does my donor module need the same part number?
Exact part-number matching is required for many Volkswagen cloning applications. Other compatible variants may be supported for certain modules; confirm using the specific listing.
Can you clone a Volkswagen ECU that does not communicate?
Standard cloning typically requires recoverable original data. Some ECU families may allow additional recovery procedures, but a non-communicating unit is not automatically recoverable.
What is the difference between a Volkswagen BCM and CCM?
Customers sometimes use BCM and CCM interchangeably, but they can refer to different modules. A BCM/J519 commonly manages body-electrical functions such as lighting, while a CCM or comfort module typically handles convenience functions such as central locking. Check the part number and module label to identify the correct service.
Can IMMO OFF fix a Volkswagen that starts and immediately stalls?
On supported older ECU systems, immobilizer authorization failure can cause start-then-stall symptoms. IMMO OFF is not universal and does not address unrelated vehicle faults or no-crank conditions.
Can you clone any Volkswagen instrument cluster?
No. Instrument cluster support depends on the cluster manufacturer, hardware, immobilizer generation and available original data. Review the specific service listing before ordering.
How long does Volkswagen module programming take?
Most supported mail-in services take 1–2 business days after we receive all required parts. Shipping transit is additional.
