Mercedes-Benz Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS / EZS) Cloning Service

This is a mail-in EIS / EZS cloning and programming service for select Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with supported FBS3 Electronic Ignition Switch modules.

We transfer the necessary vehicle-specific data from your original EIS into a compatible replacement EIS that you provide. Once completed, the replacement is prepared for installation into the original vehicle.

YOU MUST SEND BOTH YOUR ORIGINAL EIS AND A COMPATIBLE REPLACEMENT EIS.

A REPLACEMENT EIS IS NOT INCLUDED.

WHAT IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

This service allows a compatible used replacement EIS / EZS to be used in place of your original Electronic Ignition Switch.

The necessary vehicle-specific data is transferred from your original EIS into the replacement so that it is prepared to operate with the original vehicle.

This service is intended for situations where the original EIS needs to be replaced but still contains recoverable vehicle-specific data.

Compatibility varies by EIS type, part number, production date, and vehicle application.

This service is for supported FBS3 EIS / EZS modules. FBS4 modules are not supported. Some Mercedes-Benz models transitioned to FBS4 before the 2015 model year, so compatibility cannot be determined by vehicle year alone.

REPLACEMENT EIS REQUIREMENTS

• You must provide a compatible replacement EIS / EZS.
• The replacement must be compatible with the original EIS type and vehicle application.
• Do not purchase a replacement based only on vehicle year and model.
• If you are unsure whether your replacement EIS is compatible, contact us with the part numbers before ordering.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Original + Replacement Required: You must send both your original EIS and compatible replacement EIS.
• Replacement Not Included: This listing is for the cloning/programming service only.
• Original Data: Your original EIS must contain recoverable vehicle-specific data for the cloning service to be completed.
• FBS3 Only: This service does not support FBS4 Electronic Ignition Switch modules.
• Module Condition: Severely damaged, water-damaged, burned, or previously repaired modules may require additional work or may prevent successful data recovery.
• Diagnosis: This service does not repair unrelated starting, key, wiring, CAN communication, or vehicle electrical problems.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Purchase the service.
2. Ship us your original EIS, key and replacement EIS.
3. We transfer the necessary vehicle-specific data from the original into the replacement.
4. Both EIS modules are shipped back to you after the service is completed.

TURNAROUND & SHIPPING

Typical service turnaround is 1–2 business days after we receive your modules.

You are responsible for shipping your modules to us. Return shipping within the contiguous United States is included.
